Collaboration with schools
I collaborate with schools to provide counselling services for students, parents and teachers on a weekly basis. I hold a BSocSci (Honours) in Psychology (Cum Laude) degree and I am also a certified SHL Personality and Assessment Practitioner. I provide the following services: trauma counselling (e.g. divorce, suicide, body self-image, bullying), family counselling (e.g. parent-child conflict, relationship issues, sibling rivalry) and emotional containment. I gained extensive experiencing in working with the youth whilst working at FAMSA ('Family and Marriage Association of South Africa') as a counsellor. Furthermore, I am registered as a counsellor with the CCSA (Council for Counsellors, South Africa, CO 20684).
Working as a mental health professional is both a privilege and a responsibility. Empathy, compassion and confidentiality are extremely important in my career. I value each client that I work with and truly believe that there is a path towards healing for each of them.
I have been married for almost two decades and am the mother of 3 children. My family is my greatest joy and I am thankful for all the lessons I've learned, and continue to learn, while being a wife, mother, and counsellor.
